This fascinates me. Assuming you take this Andy at his word, he put this message into his game of Oregon Trail at school, then years later that particular copy of the game gets pirated along with his saved data. People find his tombstone, and the phrase “peperony and chease” becomes a minor meme. And then he sees it.

Can you imagine how surreal that must be? You’re online, decide to get nostalgic about Oregon Trail, and you find something you wrote as a child and probably forgot all about, immortalized.
